Scott Groves

Scott Groves began his real estate career in 2010 after graduating from the University of Oregon where he studied Planning, Public Policy and Management and minored in Business. Upon graduation, he supported the building process of his mother’s home on her property and developed a network in the Portland area, growing his interest and experience in supporting communities and the commercial world. He was introduced to retail leasing with Barnard Commercial Real Estate. Scott has since expanded his expertise in investment and owner-occupied sales, navigating through various sectors of the industry. With 10 years of experience in the industry today, Scott is a Principal Broker in Oregon and is passionate about helping businesses and investors succeed in real estate. As a Director of Real Estate with Locate, based in his home town of Portland, Scott will create and facilitate retail leasing transactions representing both Tenants and Landlords. Prior to kick starting his career in real estate, Scott spent the summers of his undergraduate years serving the Forest Service as a firefighter, based out of John Day. In his free time, Scott enjoys playing guitar with friends and performing shows for a charity band he organized, called “Party with a Purpose.” He’s a big fan of classic rock artists, like Santana, Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, and Mark Knopfler.
